Rod Westfall, 57, passed from natural causes on April 19th. He was born in Ontario, OR to Jack and Peg Westfall. He graduated from Ontario High School in 1974, purchasing the successful family wheel alignment business and running it until the last year of his life. An avid outdoorsman, he spent many years at Owyhee Reservoir with his trusty canine fishing companion, Asher. Rod was happiest telling a good joke or being in the middle of the wilderness and found spiritual comfort in nature and his personal relationship with Christ. He was a loving father, brother, son, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two daughters Kate and Anne Westfall, a sister and brother Sue Quast and Barry Westfall, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Peg Westfall, and his brother and sister Warren Westfall and Penny Cooper. Services will be held at West Valley Church in Fruitland, April 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
