It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Roxanne LaShea Johnson, on September 9, 2021, at the age of 34 years.
Roxanne, better known as Sann, Roxe, or Rox, was born August 9, 1987, to Christy Johnson and Robert Barnard. She grew up in Jackson Hole and Star Valley, WY. The wide-open spaces of Wyoming were the perfect fit for a girl so full of spirit. As a young girl she enjoyed the freedoms that growing up in a small town brings. Whether it be tending to her family's horses, playing in the dirt with her younger brothers, or camping in Greys River she was always looking for adventure.
She was a proud mother, and her children were her life force. Their dreams were her dreams, and she strived to bring them to fruition. This led to her brave decision to move to Idaho. It was there she was able to gift her children the chance to explore their personalities and find activities they love. From rodeos to gymnastics, she was always there cheering them on. Her greatest ambition was to bring her children the type of joy, that they brought to her heart. She loved her children dearly and wanted them to fully enjoy the richness life has to offer.
A true force of nature, Roxanne was full of life, nurturing and tender. Her whole life she had a deep connection with animals. Raising chickens, rabbits, ducks, dogs, cats, a skunk or two, a snake and some fish as well as training animals, kept her busy. She was there to lend a hand to anyone who needed help with their animals and would adopt the less fortunate ones and care for them. Roxanne was in the process of adopting a wild mustang, she named Tempi's Spirit. Roxanne was able to bathe, halter, and lead her around within two hours. It was a truly beautiful testament to her character. One wild and free, compassionate spirit, being able to gain the trust, so quickly, of another.
Roxanne will be remembered by her children, Isabella 12, Jazzmyne 9, Cinch 7, Cammellott 3, and LeDoux 2. Roxanne is also survived by her mother Christy Johnson, (Joe Stanek); brother Hunter Stanek; grandmother Tina Martin, (Randy Martin); father Robert Barnard, (Laura Barnard); sister Damona Williams; brother Garrett Barnard; grandparents Bill and Darlyn Boney; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter Temperance (Tempi) Johnson, brother Michael (Mikey) Stanek, grandparents Donald and Connie Barnard, and Bud Mullendore.
Let’s Pray; “Dear God, I grieve for those of us left behind. I ask You to comfort us, give peace, restore hope, and lavish us with love, family, and belonging. In the depths of loss, meet us with Yourself.”
Roxanne, you will be dearly missed and loved always.
