Ruth Hiatt Bryson
Clinton, UT - Ruth passed away peacefully on May 7, 2010 at Country Pines Assisted Living in Clinton. She was born on 28 May 1922 in Rupert, ID to William John Hiatt and Mary Jane Phibbs. She was the fifth of ten children. She lived in Idaho all of her life and spent 46 years in Twin Falls. In 2005 she moved to Clinton, UT. She married Arnold Bryson on 24 July 1939 in Paul, ID. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on 7 Sept 1968. They had 6 children: Rockford Arnold (deceased); Doran William (Susan) of Austin, TX; Kay Walter (deceased); Michael George (Dena- deceased) (Suzanne) of Clinton, UT; Timothy Paul (Alana) of Ogden UT; Laurie Anne of Twin Falls, ID. Ruth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in her various callings especially in the Relief Society and as girls camp director. She and her sweetheart served an LDS mission in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission in 1988-89. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Twin Falls Camp, serving in many offices of the camp. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 63 years, two sons, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by one sister (Helen Hiatt Fronek, Anaheim, CA) three sons, one daughter, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She loved being anywhere with family and serving others. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Funeral services will be held in Twin Falls, ID at the Twin Falls LDS 4th Ward Chapel at 667 Harrison St. on May 13, 2010 at 11 AM. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, May 12, at White Mortuary, "Chapel by the Park" in Twin Falls from 6 to 8 PM and on Thursday morning at 10 to 10:45 AM before the services.
