Ruth Ann Lange

September 6, 1943 — October 14, 2017

Ruth Ann Willie Lange, 74, of Idaho Falls, fought the good fight and finished her race Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, in her home surrounded by family and is celebrating with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, amidst heavenly hosts. She was born to Robert and Verna Wille on Sept. 6, 1943, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. In 1961, she graduated from Wabasso High School and then achieved her certificate of cosmetology from Mankato Beauty College in 1962. On Sept. 19, 1964, she married her high school sweetheart, Tom Lange, at St. Matthew's Lutheran County Church in Wabasso, Minnesota. In 1970, Ruth Ann and Tom made the permanent move to Idaho, where she fell in love with God's mountains. Ruth Ann was a member of M.A.P.S. missions building schools and churches in Guinea-Bissau, Africa; Panama City, Panama; Estelí, Nicaragua; Oaxaca, Mexico; and Anchorage, Alaska. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family outdoors visiting national monuments and parks taking in the wonders of God's creation. Attending her grandchildren's activities was paramount. She was active in the Christian Sisters' Prayer Group. Her raspberry patch was known to family and friends, with whom she loved to visit and pray with at every opportunity. Ruth Ann's rocking chair was an open invitation for her children, grandchildren and all of their friends to sit on her lap and tell her about their day as she tickled their arm. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Tom Lange, of Idaho Falls; son, Nathan (Connie) Lange, of Rapid City, South Dakota; daughters, Traci (Dave) Lindsey, of Farr West, Utah, and Bobbi (Jim) Rooney, of Idaho Falls; grandchildren, Elijah (Melody), Seth, Josiah, Sarah, Jeremiah, Ethan, Aaron and Isaac; siblings, Lois (Galen) Wetter, of Lamberton, Minnesota; Mavis Mathews, of Maple Grove, Minnesota; Karen (David) Hacker, of Morgan, Minnesota; Arlan (Mary) Wille, of Buffalo, Minnesota; and Layton (Susan) Wille, of Lenexa, Kansas; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth Ann is preceded in death by both her parents, Robert and Verna Wille, and sisters MonaRae Willand and Mary Fenger. Services will be held at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, 793 Cleveland St., Idaho Falls, on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you support your local church mission projects. Arrangements under the direction of Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Idaho Falls, ID.
