Ruth Alice Skeem passed away of natural causes at her home Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, after 89 years of a rich and fulfilling life.
Ruth was born in Pocatello to Melvin and Carolyn Cutler on Dec. 10, 1921, and moved to Twin Falls in her teens. There she met and married Rulon J. Skeem and became a traveling Naval aviator's wife for 20 years until she and RJ retired back to Twin Falls in 1960. While she enjoyed golf and was passionate about playing Bridge, she was the classic stay-at-home wife and mother. Her life was enriched by her many friends and her long association with PEO. Ruth was a kind and gentle person who was not afraid to state her opinion. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Ruth was preceded in death 10 years ago by her husband, RJ; and by her sister, Norma Sternke, one year later. She is survived by her only child, Dr. Randy J. Skeem and wife, Becky of Twin Falls; and grandsons, Ryan J. Skeem and wife Megen, and Jacob R. Skeem, all from Boise.
A memorial service for Ruth will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park." Services are under the direction of White Mortuary. To share a memory of Ruth or to offer condolences to Ruth's family, please visit www.whitemortuary.com.
