Ruth Eleanor Tiffany

Ruth Eleanor Tiffany was born January 12, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN and passed away on March 17, 2024 peacefully in her sleep at home.Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Gregory Tiffany Jr to whom she was married for 59 years, and her sons Fred Tiffany and John Tiffany.Ruth is survived by daughters Susan (Tiffany) Ryan of Broken Arrow, OK, and Jean (Tiffany) Swearingen of Idaho Falls, ID, and son Lewis Gregory Tiffany III of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Ruth was involved in many activities over the years outside of her family. She was part of The League of Women Voters, The Sons of Norway, she volunteered at her church, put together braille books, and she loved her weekly games of Bridge at the Senior Center.Ruth was lighthearted and fun to be around which was enhanced by her orneriness. Ruth loved playing card games, and she even had a perfect hand in Cribbage. She could also be found out in the water playing with the great-grandkids at the lake. She enjoyed travel, living life to the fullest, and bringing joy into the lives of the people around her.The viewing will be held at Buck-Murphy funeral home 825 E. 17th St. Idaho Falls on April 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services are Saturday, April 6th at 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church 2071 12th St, Idaho Falls.In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in the name of Ruth Tiffany to the local animal shelter or to the Gentle Giant Draft horse rescue.
