Sharon Jean Kirch Schroeder passed away peacefully August 11, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchild at her side after a long battle with pulmonary hypertension. She was born January 18, 1944 to Herbert and Arvilla (Legband) Kirch at West Point, NE. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE, attending first grade through eighth grade, and this is the church where she was also baptized and confirmed. She attended Wisner High School and graduated in 1962 and then moved to Seward Nebraska where she graduated from Concordia Teachers College 1966. She completed her student teaching at Wichita, KS after then taught sixth grade at Waco, TX; Coleman, AL; and at Clover School in Buhl, ID. In 1970, she married the love of her life Eugene Robert Schroeder. There she helped at home on the farm and raised a wonderful family which she loved very much. She was a substitute teacher and was a gifted cake designer and baker, baked many wedding, anniversary, and special occasion cakes. She did many craft shows, painted, and made floral arrangements. She loved being creative, large gardens, and raising flowers. Her greatest love in life was family, her children, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild and her greatest desire was that her family would always remain faithful to the Lord. Sharon and her husband led 4H groups mainly in rocketry, wildlife, biking etc. They helped with youth groups, were counselors and taught Sunday school for many years. She also made many church banners. She is a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls. She is survived by her husband Eugene of Idaho Falls; three children: Lance Eugene Schroeder (Michelle), Scott Robert Schroeder (Heidi), Shawna Jean Cook (Blake); nine grandchildren: Lindsey, Trenten, Brena, Mikala (Trey), Jessica, Nevada, Annde, Rostin, Macy; and one great-grandchild Maddison; three brothers: Richard (Janet), Gary (Virginia), and Stan (Elaine) Kirch who all live in Nebraska and one sister Pamela Fuller (Bill) of Greely, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents.
