Sheri R. Griggs

Sheri Rae (Sims) Griggs passed into the arms of the Lord on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. Sheri was born on Nov. 14, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Sheri found the love of her life when she married Jack. They built a life of fun when they were able to go places and as the years went on they enjoyed being together at home with their darling little dogs, Pete and Lucy. Sheri loved to plant flowers and she put out bird feeders so they could enjoy watching the birds come and go in their yard.
Sheri worked with the elderly and special needs people in our community for many years. She had a special gift of taking care of them and bringing sunshine into their lives often right up to their time of passing. When asked how she was able to do it she said, "It is the last nice thing that I get to do for them before they go." She was a special person with a big, big heart for others.
As a wife, Mother, sister and aunt, Sheri provided lots of laughter, fun, love, time, a big shoulder to cry on and arms that loved to give you warm hug. She loved to just sit and visit and would do it for as long as there was time. These are memories that will be cherished by them forever.
Sheri loved her boys, Chad and Kole with an everlasting Mother's love. They were her life and she was always there for them. They will miss her and her beautiful smile very much.
And, one of her greatest joys was being a grandma. Nothing delighted her more than to spend time with her grandchildren.
We will all miss you very much Sheri and we believe that one day we will all dance together again in Heaven.
Sheri is survived by her husband, Jack Griggs of Idaho Falls, son Chad Zachary Kennerly and daughter Autumn, Kole Jason Kennerly and sons Kainen and Kompton, sisters Lori (Mike) Priest, Janna Ward, mother Carol (Norman) Drewes, and father, Farrel (Karen) Sims. She is also survived by her niece, Kelsey(Ryan) Behm and their twin girls, Kinley and Paige, Jessica Reyes and her children, Ethan, Gabriel, Tristan and LuAnn, stepsisters, Tina and Debbie Peterson, stepbrother Brett Peterson, stepdaughters, and Lisa Griggs and stepsons Darrel and Jason (Tammy) Griggs.
Sheri was a simple girl who didn't like a lot of attention so our family has decided to hold a private celebration of life for her that will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
Our family would like to sincerely thank all of our friends and family for their love, care and prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in Sheri's name to the Bonneville County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2763, Idaho Falls, ID 83403 or to the City of Refuge, 840 Park Ave, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
