Susanne Catherine Shipley

Susanne was born on September 5, 1930 in Firth Idaho to Benjamin Harrison and Grace Smith. She attended school in the Idaho Falls area. Susanne married Raymond Lee Shipley on January 5, 1949. They made their home in the Idaho Falls area. Susanne was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked for the Bonneville School District on the Special Needs bus, where the children loved her. After Raymond passed away, she stayed in their family home in Idaho Falls until the winter of 2010, when she moved in with her daughter Linda in Roy, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Willowcreek Ward and served as a Relief Society teacher. Susanne was kind and loving to everyone she met and was always willing to help anyone in need. Survivors include her children: Linda Lees, of Roy, Utah; Randy (Dory) Shipley and Gloria Shipley , all of Idaho Falls; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011, at the Idaho Falls East Stake Center, 1860 Kearney in Idaho Falls, with Bishop's counselor Todd Tingel, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th street in Idaho Falls and at the church one hour prior to the services on Friday.Susanne Catherine Smith Shipley, 81 of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday September 11, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Roy, Utah.
