Thelma Louise Hazen King

Thelma Louise King, 69, of La Grande, OR, formerly of Payette passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011. A viewing will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, Oct. 20th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm (noon), Friday, Oct. 21st at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Thelma was born on April 5, 1942 in Nampa, ID to Alvin LeRoy and Myrtle Margaret (Carter) Hazen. She was raised in Nampa then moved to California. In 1958, she married Joe Corcorran and they had three children, Joe Jr., Irene, and Steven. In 1983, she married Jesse King and they lived in Payette, where she worked as a bartender and helped run a lawn service with her husband. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse King; her father, Alvin "Fish" Hazen; and two of her grandchildren. Thelma leaves behind her mother, Myrtle Hazen; her children, Joe Cocorran Jr. (Tammy), Irene Hendrickson (Paul), and Steven Corcorran (Diana); her siblings, Bud Hazen (Illeana), Edward Hazen (Shirley), Cleo Hazen (Pauline), and Margaret Haggard (Bernie); 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and many more family and close friends.
