Ted Mulberry died October 2, 2011, Idaho Falls, Idaho at his home after losing a battle with cancer. He was born on May 14, 1927, Idaho Falls, Idaho to Arthur Eugene Mulberry and Frances (Kaphammer) Mulberry. He was the youngest of three children. Ted grew up on a farm south of Idaho Falls. He attended Stanton Elementary School and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1945. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in October 1945 and served with 179th Finance Department Unit, in Yokohama, Japan. He was honorably discharged in February 1947. Ted returned to the family farm. On May 2, 1950, he married Nora Campbell at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Idaho Falls and continued in farming until retirement in 1995. He was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and became a Third Order Carmelite in February 1991. Ted's interest in purebred Holsteins led to establishing Russet Valley Holsteins, one of the top dairy herds in eastern Idaho. He was involved in several Holstein and farm organizations. He held various leadership positions in these organizations at both local and state levels. He led the York Beef and Dairy 4-H club many years. He also helped with trail rides of the Blue Tail Flies 4-H Club. He served on the Bonneville County Fair Board for 17 years. Ted loved family, farming, and traveling. His greatest love was his wife and family. He especially enjoyed camping and boating at Hebgen Lake. His best trip was a visit to the Holy Land in March 1996. He is survived by his wife Nora of Idaho Falls and their eight children: Mike (Ina) of Idaho Falls, Steve (Elna) of Twin Falls, Ken (Jenny) of Kimberly, Mark (Kathy) of Idaho Falls, Ann (Art Ward) of Salcha, Alaska, Linda (Scott Drewes) of Great Falls, Montana, Sharon (Brian Gustaveson) of Idaho Falls, John (Shaun) of Idaho Falls, 35 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and sister Wanda Kolbet of Moreland, Idaho. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday October 7, 2011, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, corner of 9th and Lee streets, Idaho Falls, with Father Raul Covarrubias, celebrant. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. A Rosary for family and friends will be held Thursday October 6, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a visitation from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street, Idaho Falls.
