Thomas Earl Ramsey passed away September 20, 2011 at his home after a long illness.
Tom was born October 5th, 1948 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Tom was a lifelong resident of Idaho and an avid outdoorsman. He made his career in law enforcement and recently retired from the U.S Forest Service. Tom was also an accomplished painter whose landscape and wildlife works are in private collections all over the country. He was a quiet man who loved his family and cherished his friends. His amazing sense of humor, while devastatingly dry, was one of his best kept secrets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lucy Ramsey, his brothers, Jake and Kirk Ramsey, and his son, Nathan Ramsey.
Tom is survived by his brother, Guy(Nina) Ramsey, his sister, Camille Ramsey, his son, Jason(Candise) Ramsey and his granddaughters, Madelynne and Emma Ramsey.
A graveside service for Tom will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Filer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to Filer Police Department Reserve officer's fund, P.O. Box 140, Filer, Idaho 83328.
