Timothy (Timmy) George Raymond Clarkson, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 24, 2016 at home.
Timmy was born in Helensburgh, Scotland on November 7, 1961 to George and Jenny Clarkson. He grew up in Garlochhead, Scotland where he attended both primary and secondary school before going on to college. He furthered his education at Springburn College in Scotland where he earned an Electrical Engineering Degree before working for the British Government.
On May 14, 1988 he married Angela Robinson in Helensburgh, Scotland and began a family. Together they had three children. They moved to the United States in September of 1989 and bought a house in Idaho Falls in which they shared to this day. He started his own electrical contracting business in 1991 known as Castle Electric and was still in business until his passing.
Timmy had a great love for many things in life. He was an avid soccer fan following his childhood team, Newcastle United, through the years. He played soccer near a semi-pro level in Scotland before coming to the United States and putting his passion into coaching his children and the youth of the area. He enjoyed following many different sports and had interests in collecting almost anything possible. He was a Free Mason and held The Mark Master Mason Degree, Excellent Master Degree, and Holy Royal Arch Degree from the St. George Helensburgh Royal Arch Chapter in Scotland. Family was very important to him and it was his number one priority. Some of his favorite moments were spent with his family talking around the dinner table, and attending sporting events for his kids and grandkids, and camping in Bear Lake where he enjoyed sitting around the fire for hours with family and friends, talking about life, and gazing at the stars that showed a fascinating, beautiful universe with many questions.
Timmy had a very large heart and always put others before himself. He would go out of his way to make sure others were taken care of. Just his presence in the room was enough to brighten anyone's day. He was a great problem solver and was more than willing to help anyone out of any situation. He spoke his mind when it was needed and was able to show through hard work that anything can be achieved which he taught to his family by example.
He is survived by his wife Angela, his sons Matthew (Chelsie), Andrew, and daughter Marissa, 2 grandsons Carson and Carter. Mother Janette Clarkson in Garelochhead Scotland, several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his Father George, Sister Audrey and Uncle Timmy. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Hilton Gardens inn Hotel in Idaho falls on Jan 7, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm for family and friends.
