Vickie Annette Wright

Vickie Romero Wright, 57, of Cordesville, SC, formerly of Ontario, OR succumbed to cancer Thursday, July 25, 2013, at her home. A viewing for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1st at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2nd at Valley View Cemetery, Vale, OR. Local services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Vickie's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. She was born to the late John and Ann Trueax, Sept. 25, 1955 in Warner Robins, GA. Vickie graduated from Ontario High School in 1973. She married Joe Romero in 1991 and they lived in Ontario until his death in 2009. Vickie married Leonard Wright and moved to South Carolina in 2012. Vickie was a forklift operator for Simplot for 28 years, worked for Best Western in Ontario for three years, and had started her own quilting shop. She was a member of the Ontario First Baptist Church. Vickie loved traveling, camping, and spending time on the beach. Vickie's son David preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Leonard Wright of Cordesville, SC; two brothers and their wives, Gary and Sherry Trueax of Ontario, John and Shirley Trueax of Nyssa; a sister and her husband, JoAnne and Glenn Moore of Payette; five grandchildren who live in Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
