Vicky Eileen (Crane) Major, age 66 of Nampa, Idaho passed away surrounded by her family in Shelley, Idaho on July 30, 2018. She was born on August 17, 1951 in Jerome, Idaho to Gilbert and Vera Crane. Later on, Vicky and her parents moved to American Falls where she graduated from high school. After school in 1981, Vicky married Robert Keith Major. They later moved to Portland, Oregon in 1989. Vicky worked as head chef for Guckenheimer for six years before transferring to Boise, Idaho in 1996. The majority of Vicky's life, she worked for St. Luke's as a production manager of patient food and nutrition services in Meridian, Idaho. She later retired in January of 2018. Vicky enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a loving, generous, family oriented mother, grandmother, and friend. Vicky fought a long and arduous battle with cancer, always maintaining her grace, dignity, and bravery through it all. Vicky is survived by her son Chanon "Shane" Hoskins (Robin) of Shelley, Idaho, her granddaughter Kaschelle Jones (Kyle) of Kuna, Idaho, grandson Andrew Hoskins of Kuna, Idaho, grandson Caden Hoskins of Shelley, Idaho, her sister Andrea McDougall (Butch) of Pocatello, Idaho, her sister Nancy Gehring "Crane" (Ken) of Utah, and her great-grandsons, Kaeos Nichol and Khalen Jones of Kuna, Idaho.
Vicky is preceded in death by her father Gilbert Crane, her mother Vera Crane, her brother Gary Crane, and her husband Robert K. Major. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements were made under the direction of Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home.
