Virginia C. Dane, 90, passed away on October 13, 2015. She was born on May 20, 1925 one of 7 children to Leo and Johanna Caven of Farifax, Minnesota. She received her early schooling and graduated from high school in Fairfax. In 1944 she entered the St. Cloud Minnesota School of Nursing as a Cadet Nurse and received her RN degree. She married Dudley C. Dane on August 12, 1950 and a year later moved to Long Island, New York, living there before moving to her final home in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1953. She worked for many years at Magic Valley Memorial Hospital as a private-duty nurse and later at Heritage Retirement Center. Mom enjoyed working in her yard and garden, cooking and baking for her family and was a talented artist and quilter. She was a devoted member of St. Edwards the Confessor Church for 62 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and looked forward to the many trips she made to Chris' cabin in Pine, Idaho. Mom was not only a great Mom but she was a best friend to all in her family. She will be missed.
