IDAHO FALLS - Virginia H. McWilliams 93, of Salt Lake City, Utah died peacefully Wednesday July 4, 2012 at the Parkwood Assisted Care Facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In January Virginia lost her soulmate and husband of nearly 70 years, James (Mac) McWilliams, a loss of immeasurable dimensions. Virginia Holden McWilliams was born in Provo, Utah on January 1, 1919 to Leonard R. Holden and Gladys Farrer Holden. She grew up and attended schools in Utah and made it her life long home. On Dec. 18th, 1943 Virginia married James McWilliams in Lawton, OK. While Mac was a sargent training troops for World War ll. After the war, Mac & Virginia went into the motel business in Salt Lake. For over 30 years they operated a prominent Inn on South State, "The Hi Ho Motel." As a husband and wife team, they served travelers from all walks of life. In the late 1970's, Mac and Virginia left the motel business and became travelers themselves. They traveled the four corners of the world and enjoyed many interesting times. For the last 30 years plus years, Mac and Virginia lived at "The Bonneville Towers". They were genial, good natured people, always considerate of others. Charity and concern for the less fortunate was important to these members of America's greatest generation. Viginia and her beloved "Mac" leave a legacy, which will enrich and touch the lives of a multitude of those with needs. May Virginia and Mac rest in eternal peace.VIRGINIA MCWILLIAMS
