William Henry Crocker, Jr., 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.
He was born November 27, 1948 in Wichita, Kan., to William H. Crocker, Sr. and Roberta Jean Halley. Bill grew up in Derby, Kan. and graduated from Derby High School in May of 1966. Bill continued school and in May of 1974 he graduated from Kansas State Teacher's College of Emporia.
He married Marilyn B. Riley on May 31, 1970, in Beloit, Kan. and they were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on May 31, 1974.
After Marilyn’s passing, Bill married and was sealed to Kathleen Tolman on July 10, 2010 at the Bountiful Utah LDS temple.
Bill taught private violin lessons to hundreds of students throughout the years. He was a member of numerous community symphonies, including the Idaho Falls Symphony, and other local ensembles. He was also an accompanist to many school orchestras and choirs over the years. He was a member of the Iona Lions Club. He worked at Journeys DDA in Rigby.
Bill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His hobbies and interests included playing the violin, cello, viola, and piano. He loved gardening and sharing his harvest with others. He loved having his family around him. His greatest hobby was helping others. Bill was a compassionate and loving person who was always reaching out to others and making their lives better. He had a special way of finding those in need and was able to help them see God’s love for them. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Tolman Crocker; son, Jonathan (Donica) Crocker of Idaho Falls; daughters, Jennifer Kestner (David) of Shelley, and Mary Bates of Shelley; sons, David Crocker of Washington and Tony (Jennie) Hansen of Kansas; seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife (Marilyn), parents, brother, sister, granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday July 1, 2024 at the Cedar Ridge LDS chapel at 3195 South Holmes, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Burial will follow in the Iona Cemetery in Iona. A viewing for family and friends will 10 a.m. Monday before the funeral.
