A valiant battle with cancer was won in Eternal Victory by William K. Frederiksen. He passed into his Eternal Home (with Jesus by his side) on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Our dear"Billy""Ripper""Uncle Bill" was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 25, 1959. His parents were Howard Edward and Josephine (Joy Lawson) Frederiksen. Bill had three siblings; Kristine and Kevin(twins) and Janice. He graduated from Clark County High School in Dubois, Idaho and then the University of Idaho in Moscow. His degree in agriculture served him well as he worked with his Dad, Howard and Uncle Horace at the family ranch in Kilgore. Then he took over the operation of the farm and ranch at Dubois. William's lifetime passions were many and often unknown to others because he did a lot of behind the scenes! An avid fan of the Clark County Bobcats at their sports events, often driving the school activity bus, he became a well known local cowboy. This sturdy, blue-eyed, quiet cowboy was always concerned about others. He wanted the best for his family and friends. Ripper was a University of Idaho Vandal through and through. The routes between Dubois and Moscow were well traveled by Bill because he especially liked watching football in the fall. Go VANDALS and Denver Broncos! Ripper served on the board of the Vandal Boosters, was a Clark County Commissioner, and belonged to the Dubois Lions Club. In 2013 Bill was given the Jim Lyle Outstanding Alumni Award. It was a very special tribute and a night of celebrating in Idaho Falls. Lots of Bill's favorite family members were there to toast him! We family members truly miss Bill being in our presence. It is good to know that he is now in the presence of the Eternal, Loving God and with those who preceded him there, including his longtime furry companion Robin the dog, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, his brother Kevin and two cousins. Survivors of Bill's excellent Earth adventure include his team of Clydesdale work horses King and Kong, two sisters, two nieces and one nephew, three sister/cousins and other admiring cousins as well as folks who are his family by choice! A celebration of Ripper's life will be held on Saturday, July 30th . His burial will be at 2pm in Kilgore, Idaho Cemetery #2. The memorial service will be at 4pm at the Community Center in Dubois. There will be a meal following the service. Come prepared for a good time of laughter, love and sharing memories of Bill. Bill's family would like to thank Eastern Idaho Hospice House for all their help as well.
