William C. "Bill" Grace, 80, of Oregon Slope / Ontario, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Medical Center - Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 9th, at Park Community Church, Oregon Slope / Ontario, OR. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to the family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com.
Bill was born Aug 3, 1931 in Payette, ID to Charles and Ann (May) Grace. He lived his entire life on the family homestead. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Harvey, in 1949. Bill was a lifelong member of Park Community Church, a charter member of the Malheur County Sheriff's Posse, and served on the Malheur County Fair Board. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard; granddaughter, Erin; and sister, Doris. Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Hal and his wife, Kelly; two grandchildren, Kris and Nick; and five great grandchildren, Jackson, Elisabeth, Hannah, Charlianne, and William "Huck". He loved his Lord, his wife, sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a cowboy who loved to work his cattle and tell stories about the good old days. Memorials may be made to Park Community Church, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
