Wilma Bulah (Tucker) Evans, 96, of Fruitland, stepped into the presence of God Sept. 25, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 29th at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth. Wilma was born in Clinton, AR on Oct. 1, 1914 to Zeke and Emily (Bryant) Tucker. She was one of 10 children. She married Lenard Lee Evans on Jan. 3, 1932. Together they had two sons, Lenard L. and Robert E. Evans. Wilma and Lenard moved to Fruitland in 1936 where they established Lenard's Grocery in 1944. After Lenard's death in 1965 she continued to run the store until the mid eighty's. She is survived by her son Lenard L. and his wife Patti and their three children and five great grandchildren of Salem, OR and her son Robert E. of Fruitland and his four children and several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings and her husband, Lenard. Special thanks to her niece and loving caregiver, Anita Townson.
