Betty May Rosa

Betty May Rosa, longtime resident of Hansen, was called home to heaven on August 15th, 2014, after a brave battle with heart failure at the far too early age of 61. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 18 years, Rickie Lynn Rosa. She is survived by her three children and nine grandchildren: Brian Rosa (husband to Kirsten, father to Joshua, Kimberly, Megan, Lily, and Zoe), Jennifer Assel (mother to Robert and Dominic), and Robin Winkle (wife to Rory, mother to Greyson and Jaxon).
Betty was born on July 8th, 1953, to Donald and Lennie Friel, the seventh of twelve children. She lived in Marlinton, West Virginia, until she moved to Hansen, Idaho, where she graduated from Hansen High School. Betty spent most of her life working as a care provider for several different agencies and individuals. Most recently she worked in the area of homeopathic and alternative medicines.
Anyone that knew Betty knows she loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was always the first one to lend a hand and the last to let anyone down. She was always there when you needed her, no matter what. She was an important part in the lives of her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and their extended families.
Mom, you are going to be missed terribly, but don't worry about us. You were such an amazing woman, mother, nana, and friend. We have all learned from your amazing example. We love you! You will always be in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Paul Congregation Church 121 N 2nd West, Paul, Idaho with a viewing held on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 6-8 PM at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park." Interment will take place at Paul Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park."
